Tessa James Director of Finance

A UK chartered accountant, Tessa originally qualified in a medium-size practice, followed by a two-year international stint with KPMG. On return to the UK, she worked on a European start-up venture for a US company before joining BBC Worldwide.

During her four years at BBC Worldwide, she initially had finance responsibility for the Asia Pacific region, working across both TV and publishing activity, including two years as a commercial manager for factual in the Global Brand & Marketing division. This involved working with the regional divisions to maximise global exploitation for major factual BBC brands (such as Walking with Dinosaurs and Attenborough), evaluating new investment opportunities and creating company-wide strategies for the factual genres.
