Death Scene Investigators is based in Los Angeles County Coroner's Department - the busiest and biggest of its kind in the world. The office deals with 9,000 sudden or unexplained deaths a year, including 800 suicides and 1,000 homicides. With 25 cases per day on average - the programme follows the team of coroner iInvestigators, forensic pathologists and forensic attendants on their busy and eventful shifts.
