Synopsis:
A journey over thousands of years from ancient Britain, across Europe to Siberia, using modern science and archaeology to examine the evidence for the existence of real wizards. From prehistoric shamans to medieval herbalists, the film explores the roots of the things we now associate with fictional wizards - wands, cauldrons, spells and potions and creates the world of ancient Britain in which the believers in wizards and 'magick' lived.
